The Santa Cruz Guitar Co. turns 40 in 2016, and to celebrate, owner Richard Hoover trotted out a limited-edition Commemorative 40th Anniversary Model today at the 2016 Winter NAMM Show in Anaheim, California.

This is No. 1 of only 12 guitars that recreate the 1980s Santa Cruz FTC that Eric Clapton owns. In fact, Hoover decided to bring it back after restoring Clapton’s carved-back F cutaway model in 2015. Hoover says the company will release one commemorative 40th Anniversary FTC per month in 2016, each in a different tone wood and finish “to make them truly one-of-a-kind,” according to SCGC info.

This one features flamed maple and bear claw German spruce.

Here are a few more images. All four photos in this post were taken at NAMM.
