Duncan Sheik, in tow with keyboardist Jason Hart and percussionist Doug Yowell, took time out of his tour Suzanne Vega to stop by the AG offices and perform three songs off his latest electro-acoustic album Legerdemain.

Watch the singer-songwriter—who first garnered attention for his 1996 Billboard charting debut single “Barely Breathing”—play “Summer Morning,” “Half a Room,” and “Selling Out.”

In between songs, Sheik talks about a visit to Venice’s La Biennale, offers some self-reflection on society and himself, and ouroboros—snakes that eat their tail, an ancient symbol that is often associated with the re-creation of oneself.
