At Summer NAMM 2017, Yamaha introduced its new limited edition LJ16BC Billy Corgan Signature Model Jumbo, one of the company’s new LJ acoustic guitars. It was designed in collaboration with the Smashing Pumpkins frontman and features a solid Engelmann spruce top treated with the company’s A.R.E. (Acoustic Resonance Enhancement) technique, which they claim helps give the instrument a tonal richness commonly found in vintage or well-played guitars. The back and sides of these models are produced with rosewood, and feature solid wood for the LJ16R and laminate for the LJ6R.

Yamaha is making 200 of these guitars available for the U.S., 150 in natural and 50 in sunburst, For $999, including a hardshell case.
