Bidding Starts with a Bang in the Acoustic Guitar Auction

More than 275 bids were submitted in the first of our three-week-long Acoustic Guitar 30th Anniversary Auction, with six of the 12 instruments already meeting their reserve prices. Guitars by Taylor, Collings, Martin, and Yamaha have been the most hotly contested, while the Gibson, Martin, and Santa Cruz instruments are the top price leaders so far.

The biggest surprise to date: Bidding has already taken our Ovation Adamas CVT to nearly twice its market value with two weeks left to go. Guitars from National, Guild, Larrivée, Breedlove, and RainSong are also seeing lots of interest.

If you haven’t placed a bid yet, now would be a good time to get in on the action. You could wind up with a beautiful custom guitar and make an important contribution to guitar education at the same time. That’s because 50% of the net proceeds from this event benefit the Bill Collings Memorial Fund.
