This performance isn’t exactly a throwback (it’s from 2018), but Joni Mitchell’s still-charming anthem about the event, the first day of which was 50 years ago today (August 15, 1969), still resonates strongly, and this very cool acoustic version by the Lighthouse Band, fronted by Woodstock vet David Crosby, has a lovely vibe to it. The other musicians in the group are Michael League, Becca Stevens, and Michelle Willis, who originally convened with Croz in 2016 to record Crosby’s Lighthouse album. A version of “Woodstock” by this grouping appeared on Crosby’s 2018 release Here If You Listen. OK, now I promise not to mention Woodstock again for a while! —Blair Jackson
