The West African duo Amadou & Miriam stripped it all down to just a lone Fender cutaway acoustic guitar and those powerful voices for this performance on a street corner. It was taped for the One organization’s 2013 series on acoustic protest songs. The duo — Amadou Bagayoko and Mariam Doumbia, from Mali — have received two Grammy nominations in the past decade: for their 2006 album Dimanche à Bamako and 2010’s Welcome To Mali. The song performed here, “Africa Mon Afrique,” comes from Amadou & Miriam’s 2012 release Folila. Have a great Sunday! — Mark Kemp
