Why would you be embarrassed? It took a fair amount of digging for Jeff to come up with the facts.

I agree with others who have said the important thing is you're happy with your guitar. You're/we're not the schmucks. The defrauders are the schmucks.

Worse than that, really, but this is a public forum.

Found an Ortega for sale that has a bit of a
curiousity on the Label

The top of the Label is the usual
Domingo Ortega (machine printed)
then Guitarra (also machine printed)
then on the next line hand printed in ink:
C S A- C E D R O

Cedro is easy.. its a cedar top.. and as this refers to a type of wood.. I am assuming that CSA refers to the wood for the backs and sides...

I have no clue what CSA may mean, I have never seen this before..

Does anyone else have an idea?

Caviuna Special Americano ??

Old news I guess, but I just got this response from an email I sent when this thread was started....

Domingo Ortega is a brand of Madinter. The Guitars under this name are only made by the best Luthier. Therefore, I cannot answer your question for professional reasons. I hope you understand it.

Best regards,

Vidal de Teresa.

And the best luthier is:
Miguel Malo
Badia
Sanchis Carpio
Carrillo

A non answer but understandable

the next question for them to stay on a roll
If the best luthier makes these
is he also signing Domingo Ortegas name and

If so is this not a misrepresentation that
Sr. Ortega is a real living person..?
Es verdad?
