At Winter NAMM 2016, Alvarez Guitars released 12 new guitars in its “Jazz & Blues” series.

The company’s head of acoustic guitar development, Chris Meikle, shows off the hollow- and  semihollow body electrics in the Jazz series and the acoustic Blues series.

To get a more vintage sound, Meikle says that the Blues series guitars feature rear-shifted bracing, vintage-style bridge with wider string spacing for fingerpicking.

The Blues 51 features an arched rosewood back and soft V-shaped neck with 12 frets to the body.

The Delta 00 features similar appointments, but with a 14-fret neck and mahogany body with a flat back.
